The Klipsch Quintet Home Theater System delivers a completely satisfying sound in the room (~11' x 17') where we have set it up. Voices are crisp and clear and the sound quality of the music we listen to, primarily classical, is excellent. We are using it with the Yamaha RX-V3800BL 7.1-Channel Network Home Theater Receiver, which is very versatile in terms of the sound that it can produce, and the Klipsch speakers are wonderfully responsive to whatever Receiver output quality we choose. I would recommend the Klipsch Quintet to anyone who is considering setting up a home theater system in a relatively small space.
As the first review says,"Just do it.". I do not regret purchasing these at all, they are terrific and the set up was simple, even at the age of 63. Go do it.
I can hear the dialogue crisp and the LR has finally some mid range and the tweeter is not too loud (quintet feels like a teen screaming to death). If you have a small room this might work but mine is around 1000 sq ft with 12 ft ceiling.I replaced my left and right with Definitive Mythos 1 and for the center Definitive CLR2500.
This set has a high sensitivity thus very loud and the tweeter is excellent. I had this for 8 months now and finally gave up on it.
Even with an excellent and loud subwoofer there are a lot of missing freq. I paired this set with Klipsch sub 12.The main issue is you could hardly hear the dialogues and you have to play it really LOUD to hear it.
Mid range is next to nothing. Used the Quintet SL for surround and the difference is night and day.
Now the sound is much fuller and balance.
I started looking at the entry level and then decided to go with the quintets to get the larger fronts. I looked and listened to the Bose systems, even the pricey one around $1800. Then I did some research online and discovered what a bunch of hype Bose is. I was familiar with the name and even have a pair of bookshelf Heresy by Klipsch that I've enjoyed for years. It is the type of sound that you can crank up very loud and it just keeps sounding better. The tech specs on them as well as the poor material quality convinced me to keep looking.
We got a Polk 10" sub and I have it set at about 3.This system is AWESOME. They sounded great at the stores. I'm not that into big pounding bass in music but do want it in movies. They also designed a perfect demo disc and placement for us to demo them. That is understandable but it masks their weakspots and also is not representative of how they will perform in your home.My installation tech suggested the Klipsch because I kept saying I wanted clean crisp sound with excellent imaging. It is very clean, crisp and full.
Then you realize that your neighbors are coming out of their homes to investigate.Very Pleased
Klipsch makes greak speakers and these are phenomenal for the price. The sound is crisp and clear and when paired with the Klipsch synergy 10 sub it rocks the house. I would recommend these to anyone who needs all the power and sound in a smaller speaker set.
